Barbara Prashner's professional experience encompasses 30+ years of diverse public accounting with an emphasis in taxation and management consulting. She started her career in California with the Big Four and national firms and has been practicing in Austin, Texas since 1999. Barbara's primary tax practice focuses on income tax planning and compliance for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and estates and trusts. Her clients are involved in land development, technology, real estate rental and investmnet, construction, professional services, entertainment and hospitality. She advises closely-held companies, family groups and individuals with compensation strategies, both domestic and foreign. In addition to advising U.S. residents with expatriate issues, she has worked in the past with non-residents with their U.S. tax matters. Business projects have involved financial due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, business financial planning and budgeting, expansion and liquidation strategies and compensation planning. Barbara graduated in 1985 Magna Cum Laude from National University in San Diego. She has dual degrees in Accounting and Finance with an emphasis in Banking. Barbara has served as an officer on or the Estate Planning Council of Central Texas.
