Barbara Prashner's professional experience encompasses 25 years of diverse public accounting experience with an emphasis in taxation and management consulting. Barbara is focussed on using technology to improve profitability and streamline business processes. She started her career in California with the Big Four and national firms and has been practicing in Austin, Texas since 1999. Barbara's primary tax practice is tax planning and compliance for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and estates and trusts. Her clients are involved in technology, real estate and construction, professional services, entertainment and hospitality. She advises closely-held companies, family groups and individuals with compensation strategies, both domestic and foreign. In addition to advising U.S. residents with expatriate issues, she also works with in-bound or non-residents with their U.S. tax matters. Barbara's clients engage her to manage financial and audit support projects. She advises corporate start-ups in both established and high-growth businesses. Specific projects have involved financial due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, financial planning and budgeting, expansion and liquidation strategies, and compensation planning. Barbara's litigation support services has successfully assisted attorneys and their clients with the financial and tax aspects of legal matters. Barbara graduated in 1985 Magna Cum Laude from National University in San Diego. She has dual degrees in Accounting and Finance with an emphasis in Banking.
